Title: Blackberry Roly Poly

FILLING
2cBlackberries
3/4cSugar
PASTRY
2cFlour, sifted
1/2tsBaking powder
1lgEgg
1tbButter
1/2cUp To
1cWater*

*Use sufficient for a stiff dough.

Mix the pastry and roll it thin, about 1/4 inch thick.

Meanwhile, sprinkle the berries with sugar.

Spread berries on the rectangle shaped dough. Roll jelly roll fashion, and pinch sides and ends of pastry to seal completely.

Place dough in a piece of wet muslin. Tie ends to form a bag.

Lower the bag into a pan of boiling water and boil for 45 minutes.

Never let the boiling stop!

Remove roll from bag and place on serving platter. Slice.

Can be served with your favorite hard sauce.
